Hi! I’m JoAnna.

Bringing events to life has been my passion throughout my entire professional career. It all started back in college when I organized a visit for then Vice President Al Gore on my campus. A true logistical feat working alongside the Secret Service to ensure a safe and seamless event. Later, while working in business development for a title insurance company, I planned numerous corporate parties and events.

With this experience under my belt, I transitioned to planning weddings and social gatherings in the Bay Area, a role I embraced for nearly a decade. When my family relocated to the Seattle area ten years ago, I began teaching at a local elementary school, primarily working with special needs students. However, my love for event planning never waned. I continued to coordinate weddings, corporate events, and conferences on the side, flying out to different locations whenever needed.

Realizing my true dream of doing events full time, I took a leap and founded Minature Events in 2023. I enjoy every aspect of event planning, from the initial stages to vendor communication to the execution of the event. Working with all types of people from all over the world has been a rewarding experience, and I am grateful to be part of the incredible Seattle Event Community.
